Ever dreamt of participating in a yoga retreat? Is it too much to take off work and pay for an expensive flight? Well, your dreams are about to come true with the first-ever Daytreat to Egmont Key! Happening Saturday, May 25th.
Consistently rated as some of the best beaches in the country, Ft. Desoto and Egmont Key are truly spectacular. Besides the gorgeous beaches, here are some things to expect for your Daytreat!
Boat ride to and from Egmont Key aboard the Tampa Bay Ferry
special boat trip to snorkel ancient ruins (now underwater) of fort Dade*
Snorkel equipment for your use - mask, snorkel, and fins
Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (breath exercises), and Meditation. rooted in the 8 limbs of yoga.

Our Daytreat schedule | Saturday, May 25.
9am arrive to Ft desoto’s Bay Pier - gentle Morning flow (all levels)
10am depart ft desoto to Egmont Key
10:30 arrive to Egmont Key and explore the island. See the lighthouse, gopher tortoises, and walk amongst the ruins of Fort Dade
11:30 depart for snorkel trip - Pranayama exercises on boat to prepare for snorkeling. Quick freediving 101
12:30 back to island for lunch
1:30 boat departs Egmont Key
2pm arrive back to Ft Desoto - closing meditation
2:30pm Daytreat ends. Feel free to hang at Fort Desoto for the day!
Meet your hosts…
Tara Lynn Hubbard
A certified yoga teacher and rescue diver - combining her love of yoga & the sea into one beautiful experience for YOU.
Tara studied yoga in India in 2016 and received her teacher training in the Hatha style of yoga. Her classes are often said to be more of a “moving meditation”. She has offered community yoga classes and retreats worldwide, and has an immense passion for cultivating the ‘retreat’ experience in everyday life.
As a certified rescue diver, Tara feels exceptionally comfortable in the water. She will be offering some breathing (pranayama) and basic freediving instruction during the retreat - to help you connect with the breath and the sea!
Born and raised in Gainesville, but a University of Florida Gator by choice. St Petersburg transplant as of September 2018. Aimee is a certified yoga teacher and works with the nonprofit Yogaloka bringing yoga to marginalized populations - with a focus on mental health.
Through fitness, Aimee has found an emotional outlet - both physical and mental. Aimee’s focus on fitness has provided her with a consistent, calming support system and now it is her passion to help others find this same outlet. Aimee wants to help people connect on a deeper level, with oneself and with others, through the power of breath and movement. Forget about looks and discover what healthy feels like!
Aimee is also a certified diver, and will be a great addition to the snorkeling part of our day!
